OPTIDATA Sp. z o.o. implemented the TMS Falcon® system in the CIECH Chemical Group of one the European Market leaders in chemicals. The Ciech Chemical Group is in the top fifty of the largest Polish companies.
The implementation of the TMS Falcon® system was preceded by a detailed analysis of the requirements of CIECH S.A. during which OPTIDATA modelled the client’s processes and prepared the technical design of the target solution.
The TMS Falcon® system has been implemented in manufacturing plants and the CIECH S.A. headquarters.
The TMS system stores the data of freight forwarders, contractors, drivers as well as goods, and packaging patterns.
The basic requirement of the TMS Falcon® system was the possibility of its integration with the parent OeBS system which the client was using at the time. This requirement was met using the data exchange interface.
The system allows you to offer contracts to transport suppliers. In the TMS system, it is possible to periodically send proposal requests for specific routes to external transport suppliers. Based on the feedback responses, contractual agreements with carriers or current price list assignment could be concluded.
Shipment monitoring is an important function of the TMS system. The TMS system has a function that transparently enables the logistics department employees to track the status of completed shipments. Thanks to this functionality you can easily supervise the timeliness of deliveries, reliability of suppliers, and marketing of shipping documents.
In the TMS Falcon® system, it is possible to watch and assign costs to transport services carried out for CIECH S.A. There is a functionality in the TMS system that makes it possible to monitor shipping costs. Based on the reports you can compare the actual transport costs with both the contracted and price list prices.
An important requirement that has been met is the ability for the logistics employees to communicate with the transport suppliers via a web platform. The TMS Falcon® system allows you to download transport orders, send notifications of the date and loading time, confirm the delivery and complete your own fleet data (driver and transport information).
